Chelsea midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko has revealed his decision to join Chelsea, was largely influenced by Drogba’s impact at the club.
Bakayoko switched allegiance from Monaco to Chelsea in the summer, joining for a fee of EUR40 million.
The 23-year-old also stated he has been a fan of the club since he was a kid , saying Drogba was a huge influence.
“Chelsea has always been a club I liked since I was young, especially because of guys like Didier Drogba being here,” Bakayoko told Daily Mail.
“I would make a point of watching their games and I had this club close to my heart growing up, so I’m really happy to be wearing their shirt.
“I made the choice to come to Chelsea a lot because of the coach and after speaking to him. And I spoke to the people around me and my family. It seemed like the best opportunity.”
